10: Scholarship and Internship Grant for Real Estate
Sum: $500–2,000
Open to: Students who experienced scholastic and financial hardships while pursuing their education and are interested in a career in real estate.
In order to be eligible for this scholarship, the student must demonstrate their interest in real estate by finishing or enrolling in a real estate-related course (such as business classes, property tax, urban planning, urban economics, geographic information systems, ethics, and so on). They have to be enrolled in a minimum of six credits at a campus of CSU. Recipients of scholarships may also be given an unpaid internship to help them expand their professional expertise.
9 : The Flint/Ebell Scholarship
The sum: $3–$5,000
Open to: Any student enrolled in a Los Angeles County public or private university
The Southern California Scholarship is awarded based on three criteria: academic excellence, financial need, and leadership and community service. Currently, this scholarship has helped 4,750 students, totaling $6 million. Moreover, there is no application charge!

Accepted: International students planning to pursue an undergraduate STEM degree overseas, regardless of their nationality
Recipients of this $5,000 grant are exceptional students wishing to study abroad for a bachelor’s degree in a STEM subject. Even if none of the finalists are selected as the winner, they will all still get gifts!

2: Trustees’ Award for Outstanding Achievement at CSU
Sum: $18,000
Open to: Any student enrolled at a CSU school in an undergraduate or graduate program
This prize honors students who have demonstrated academic merit and achievement while overcoming adversity. The candidates must show financial need and be in good academic standing, with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

Amount: At least half of the tuition
Open to: Foreign students who show an interest in fostering cross-cultural study and interchange but do not hold US citizenship or residency
California State University San Marcos is one of the numerous US institutions and universities that YAWH Scholarship collaborates with.
Each applicant will respond to a question regarding their leadership abilities with a 500–1000 word essay or a two–five minute video. There can be additional criteria, depending on the university you apply to.

Some universities in California offer merit and need-based scholarships that cover the full cost of tuition or attendance, such as the University of Southern California.
Does California State University give scholarships to international students?
Federal/state financial aid is not available for international students. Campus or private scholarships may be available for international students but are not sufficient to cover all expenses.

How to Utilize
To apply for the scholarships for first-year UC San Diego students listed below, follow these instructions:
- Before the deadline of November 30, submit your UC Application for Admissions and Scholarships.
- Fill out your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) if you are qualified for financial need scholarships. If you are not eligible for financial aid due to AB540, you can apply for California Dream Scholarships by the May 2 extension deadline. Don’t submit two files.
- The deadline for further financial aid documentation is July.
- Any scholarships that you are eligible for will be evaluated by UC San Diego based on the data you submitted in stages 1 and 2 above.
- Only citizens or permanent residents of the United States or students enrolled in California Dream Act programs are eligible.
